Mount Zion members help many organisations in the course of each year.

Members provide regular assistance to the elderly in Cliviger, giving transport to get to hospital, doctors, dentists, opticians or even shopping.

Meals are regularly offered to pensioners and there are services held at local care homes.

And a team under the banner of BEST - Burnley Evangelical Schools’ Trust - make regular visits to local schools.

Some members of the church helped start Street Pastors in Burnley - going into the town centre in the early hours of the morning to help keep the peace.

Helping those unable to help themselves

The church also supports a number of mission workers in different parts of the world.

These workers include a Ghanaian student - Bright - who will soon be returning to Ghana to build a primary school and educational facilities for older children.
