Saturday prayer time...

Pray for those in a season...

Saturday 2nd December 2017

Saturday prayer time.

Where are we? In Gods house.

Something to think about. Psalm 122:

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. ”

Lets think about- “being in Gods presence....”

Lord, I come to you, Let my heart be changed, renewed,

Flowing from the grace That I found in you.
And, Lord, I've come to know The weaknesses I see in me

Will be stripped away by the power of your love.

Hold me close, Let your love surround me,

Bring me near, Draw me by your side;
And as I wait, I'll rise up like the eagle, And I will soar with you; Your spirit leads me on In the power of your love.

Lord, unveil my eyes, Let me see you face to face,

The knowledge of your love As you live in me.

Lord, renew my mind As your will unfolds in my life,

In living every day In the power of your love.

In this quiet time, lets invite the Holy spirit to guide us.

We have been talking about seasons, now we are entering the festive season of Christmas....

Christmas is all about love, spending time with family and friends. Showing how we care for each other. Can we think about including our Father and our Lord Jesus more this year? Can we think about inviting them to the table with us for our meals?

Lets take a minute to pray for each member of our family now.

God loves us so much He gave us Jesus. Jesus loves His Father so much He was completely obedient to Him. Jesus loves us so much He died to pay for our salvation, our eternal life, a price we couldn't pay on our own. The love a Father has for his children cant be bought or earn't, it can only ever be a gift from the heart of love. Our lives are a gift from our loving Father. We have life today because of the love of our Father and a direct relationship with Him only through our Lord Jesus and His love for us.

With all this love we are surrounded with, lets also think how can we share this with others who don't know what love feels like, or with those that are over-whelmed with the worries of this world. Lets take some time now to think about how we can share the Lords love with others in this season. Lord please open our hearts.

Even if we cant actually physically help someone, we can stop and pray for them. We can ask our Father to help them through their challenges, to lift the pressures and worries off their shoulders, to draw close to them and bless them. Maybe we could keep our eyes open for 2 people each day who need to feel the Lords love, and take just a minute to pray for them. Holy spirit please open our eyes and guide our prayers.

Last Sunday, Colin was talking about 2 things. Our gifts / talents, and our relationship with our Father and our Lord Jesus.

Our Father has blessed us with many talents, more than you might first think, and I can imagine Him looking over us, excited to see how we are going to use them, and how they might change the world, our family and friends, and our neighbors.

Lets take a moment to think about the talents we have, and how we can use them in this season. Don't over-look some of the most important and simple gifts like listening, patients, compassion, kind words, even a simple smile in the right place can change someones day, even their life!

Like Colin was talking about, lets take time to get to know our Father in Heaven, God, who He is and what moves Him, what He is interested in. Lets see Him as He is. The most loving, compassionate and caring Father. Lets spend time this season learning about Him and our Lord Jesus. Lets consider saying good morning to them as we get up each morning, and saying Good night as we go to sleep.

Let me finish by wishing you a wonderful Christmas, and and exciting new year full of Gods blessings. Thank you for all your prayers this year. God bless. Tony
